Second Co-design workshop with the Architect
Our Second Co-Design Meeting — Ideas, Inspiration & Excitement!
We honestly can’t believe we are already at our second co-design meeting with our architect! Time is moving so quickly, and with every meeting the vision for our future community becomes more real and exciting.
This second session was simply wonderful. Andrea, our architect from Time to Access, came fully prepared with the first floor design based on all the ideas and discussions from our first meeting. Seeing our thoughts transformed into actual designs was such a special moment!
The First Look at the Design
Andrea presented:
The first floor layout
The design for the elderly Odenhuis floor
The plans for our multipurpose hall
But that wasn’t all! He also shared a rough overview of what the rest of the building could look like, including the distribution of the different house sizes:
Small homes
Medium homes
Large homes
It was exciting to finally start visualizing how everything may come together.
Brainstorming Together
One of the best parts of the meeting was the collaborative energy in the room. Everyone had the opportunity to share ideas and give feedback — especially about the multipurpose spaces we would love to have throughout the building and even on the rooftop area.
And wow… the creativity flowed!
Some of the amazing ideas included:
Kids’ play rooms
DIY and creative workshop rooms
Laundry spaces
Community gathering areas
Rooftop activities and relaxation spaces
…and so many more!
Every suggestion sparked new conversations and possibilities. It really showed how much everyone cares about creating a space that feels welcoming, practical, and community-driven.
What Happens Next?
Andrea carefully noted all the feedback and ideas shared during the meeting. He will now use this input to further improve and refine the design before our next co-design session.
It’s incredible to watch this project evolve step by step — not just as a building, but as a shared dream shaped by everyone involved.
We already can’t wait for the next meeting!
